Biography

Prof. Mohammad A. Hassanain is a full Professor of Facilities Engineering and Management, at the Architectural Engineering (ARE) Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He earned his BSc (Honors) and MSc in ARE from KFUPM in 1993 and 1996, and then his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada in 2002. He was ranked 4 amongst 76 Full-time PhD Students in Civil Engineering at UBC.

He taught several courses in the graduate and undergraduate ARE programs, including Introduction to Architectural Engineering, Computer Aided Building Design, Building Economy, Construction Management, Contracts and Specifications, Principles of Facilities Management, Post-Occupancy Evaluation, Safety Systems in Buildings and Facilities Planning and Relocation. His research interests are in facilities engineering and management, corporate real estate, knowledge management, construction management, sustainable development of buildings and infrastructure, facilities performance evaluation, and facilities fire safety management.

At KFUPM, he received the distinguished teaching award three times in 2007, 2011 and 2016, the distinguished advising award in 2015 and 2021 on the level of the College of Environmental Design, and the excellence in research award in 2020, on the level of the University.

He published over one hundred and twenty papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings. He participated as a Principal and Co-Investigator in funded research projects by the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Office of Planning and Quality at KFUPM, and King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He also participated as a Principal, and Co-Investigator in grants funded by the E-Learning Center at KFUPM, for the development of several online courses.

He acted as a Thesis Advisor, Committee Member, and Report Advisor for Master theses and Research Reports completed at the ARE and Construction Engineering and Management Departments at KFUPM. He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member in three journals indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics), namely, the International Journal of Building Pathology and Adaption, the Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering, and the International Journal of Sustainable Construction Engineering and Technology.

Prof. Hassanain was included amongst the Stanford's world ranking list of the top 2% scientists, for the years 2021 and 2022.

Biography

Prof. Mohammad A. Hassanain is a full Professor of Facilities Engineering and Management, at the Architectural Engineering (ARE) Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He earned his BSc (Honors) and MSc in ARE from KFUPM in 1993 and 1996, and then his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada in 2002. He was ranked 4 amongst 76 Full-time PhD Students in Civil Engineering at UBC.

He taught several courses in the graduate and undergraduate ARE programs, including Introduction to Architectural Engineering, Computer Aided Building Design, Building Economy, Construction Management, Contracts and Specifications, Principles of Facilities Management, Post-Occupancy Evaluation, Safety Systems in Buildings and Facilities Planning and Relocation. His research interests are in facilities engineering and management, corporate real estate, knowledge management, construction management, sustainable development of buildings and infrastructure, facilities performance evaluation, and facilities fire safety management.

At KFUPM, he received the distinguished teaching award three times in 2007, 2011 and 2016, the distinguished advising award in 2015 and 2021 on the level of the College of Environmental Design, and the excellence in research award in 2020, on the level of the University.

He published over one hundred and twenty papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings. He participated as a Principal and Co-Investigator in funded research projects by the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Office of Planning and Quality at KFUPM, and King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He also participated as a Principal, and Co-Investigator in grants funded by the E-Learning Center at KFUPM, for the development of several online courses.

He acted as a Thesis Advisor, Committee Member, and Report Advisor for Master theses and Research Reports completed at the ARE and Construction Engineering and Management Departments at KFUPM. He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member in three journals indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics), namely, the International Journal of Building Pathology and Adaption, the Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering, and the International Journal of Sustainable Construction Engineering and Technology.

Prof. Hassanain was included amongst the Stanford's world ranking list of the top 2% scientists, for the years 2021 and 2022.

Biography

Prof. Mohammad A. Hassanain is a full Professor of Facilities Engineering and Management, at the Architectural Engineering (ARE) Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He earned his BSc (Honors) and MSc in ARE from KFUPM in 1993 and 1996, and then his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada in 2002. He was ranked 4 amongst 76 Full-time PhD Students in Civil Engineering at UBC.

He taught several courses in the graduate and undergraduate ARE programs, including Introduction to Architectural Engineering, Computer Aided Building Design, Building Economy, Construction Management, Contracts and Specifications, Principles of Facilities Management, Post-Occupancy Evaluation, Safety Systems in Buildings and Facilities Planning and Relocation. His research interests are in facilities engineering and management, corporate real estate, knowledge management, construction management, sustainable development of buildings and infrastructure, facilities performance evaluation, and facilities fire safety management.

At KFUPM, he received the distinguished teaching award three times in 2007, 2011 and 2016, the distinguished advising award in 2015 and 2021 on the level of the College of Environmental Design, and the excellence in research award in 2020, on the level of the University.

He published over one hundred and twenty papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings. He participated as a Principal and Co-Investigator in funded research projects by the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Office of Planning and Quality at KFUPM, and King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He also participated as a Principal, and Co-Investigator in grants funded by the E-Learning Center at KFUPM, for the development of several online courses.

He acted as a Thesis Advisor, Committee Member, and Report Advisor for Master theses and Research Reports completed at the ARE and Construction Engineering and Management Departments at KFUPM. He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member in three journals indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics), namely, the International Journal of Building Pathology and Adaption, the Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering, and the International Journal of Sustainable Construction Engineering and Technology.

Prof. Hassanain was included amongst the Stanford's world ranking list of the top 2% scientists, for the years 2021 and 2022.

Biography

Prof. Mohammad A. Hassanain is a full Professor of Facilities Engineering and Management, at the Architectural Engineering (ARE) Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He earned his BSc (Honors) and MSc in ARE from KFUPM in 1993 and 1996, and then his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada in 2002. He was ranked 4 amongst 76 Full-time PhD Students in Civil Engineering at UBC.

He taught several courses in the graduate and undergraduate ARE programs, including Introduction to Architectural Engineering, Computer Aided Building Design, Building Economy, Construction Management, Contracts and Specifications, Principles of Facilities Management, Post-Occupancy Evaluation, Safety Systems in Buildings and Facilities Planning and Relocation. His research interests are in facilities engineering and management, corporate real estate, knowledge management, construction management, sustainable development of buildings and infrastructure, facilities performance evaluation, and facilities fire safety management.

At KFUPM, he received the distinguished teaching award three times in 2007, 2011 and 2016, the distinguished advising award in 2015 and 2021 on the level of the College of Environmental Design, and the excellence in research award in 2020, on the level of the University.

He published over one hundred and twenty papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings. He participated as a Principal and Co-Investigator in funded research projects by the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Office of Planning and Quality at KFUPM, and King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He also participated as a Principal, and Co-Investigator in grants funded by the E-Learning Center at KFUPM, for the development of several online courses.

He acted as a Thesis Advisor, Committee Member, and Report Advisor for Master theses and Research Reports completed at the ARE and Construction Engineering and Management Departments at KFUPM. He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member in three journals indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (Clarivate Analytics), namely, the International Journal of Building Pathology and Adaption, the Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering, and the International Journal of Sustainable Construction Engineering and Technology.
