On Sunday, September 14, the AECM Department held a Faculty Advising Awareness Session to strengthen faculty understanding of their advising roles and responsibilities. The event was organized by Dr. Awsan Mohammed, chair of the Student Advising Committee, who emphasized the importance of effective advising in supporting student success.

As part of the program, Eng. Qannan presented best practices for academic advising and elaborated on the ARE plan, offering practical guidance to help faculty address students’ academic needs more effectively. The session also highlighted common challenges students face in their academic journey, fostering discussion on strategies to improve support and communication between faculty and students.

The session concluded with active participation from faculty members, underscoring a shared commitment to enhancing the advising experience and ensuring student development within the department.
