Biography

Dr. Mohammed Alhaji Mohammed is an assistant professor in the Architectural Engineering Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). Dr. Mohammed is a B. Tech Architecture (2006) and MSc Architectural Engineering (2011) graduate of ‘Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi’ and ‘King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) Saudi Arabia,’ respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in 2015 at Newcastle University, UK, with the topic “Natural Ventilation: An Evaluation of Strategies for Improving Indoor Air Quality in Hospitals Located in Semi-Arid Climates.” Before joining KFUPM, he taught at Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri and Bayero University Kano as a Senior Lecturer. His main research interests include Indoor Environmental Quality, Ventilation and indoor air quality in buildings, Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and energy simulation of buildings, Energy-efficient and sustainable building design, sustainable building materials and systems, and Building performance evaluation. His most recent project is on developing active building envelope systems for sustainable design in hot climates.
